Groton boys beat Britton-Hecla

• The Groton boys rallied in the second half to beat Britton-Hecla in basketball action Tuesday in Groton, 58-41.
• The lead changed hands two times and was tied twice before Mason Madsen made two free throws to give Groton a 9-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.
• Groton took control for most of the second quarter, opening up an 18-10 lead with 5:37 left. Then the Braves battled back and with the help of three-pointers, tied the game t 25 with 1:02 left in the half. Kasey Kurtz answered with a three-pointer of his own with 50 seconds left as Groton took a 28-26 lead at half time.
• The Braves tied the game at 28 and took a 33-31 lead with 4:35 left in the third quarter. Groton then scored seven unanswered points to take a 40-33 lead. Groton led, 43-35, at the end of the third quarter.
• The Braves never threatened in the fourth quarter as Groton took control of the
