• The Augustana Chorus will be on tour and will be in Groton February 4 at 1:30 p.m. for the middle school and high school chorus.
• Friday is the earliest anyone can take out a petition for city council or school board.
• There was a request to purchase some property that the district is currently not using by the bus barns. Joe Schwan said, "I don't think it's in the district's best interest to sell property. Once it's gone, you can't get it back," he said. Steve Smith said it could create issues down the road if the district decides to build a bigger shop. The board is not interested in selling.
• The heaters in the bathrooms in the gym are not working. Kevin Nehls from Johnson Controls offered some heaters at 10 percent below cost as they were for another project and were not wanted. The cost would be $1,600. The board agreed to buy the heaters.
