• Superintendent Joe Schwan talked about the school calendar with the district missing four full days, had three early dismissals and two 2-hour late starts. Decisions will be made in February to decide how to handle the missed hours of school.
• Schwan talked about trips that students are taking. He said just this school year, the amount of money fund-raised and used from families amounted to $137,000 for

trips. He said the district should evaluate the trip-policy.
• The elementary numbers have gone up by three since last month with a new student in each of the second, third and fourth grades. A family moved into the Columbia area.  Elementary Principal Dan Dalchow reported that the elementary book fair is set for February 14, the elementary boys basketball tourney is March 1 and the elementary carnival is March 29. The next Elementary PAC sponsored Children's Theater is set for March 22-28, 2015.
• High/Middle School Principal Anna Schwan reported on the state FCCLA qualifiers. The district was held January 17 and those qualifying for state are Tia Thompson, Keri
