• Two events had to be rescheduled due to a dance recital scheduled for the same day as the spring concert. The FCCLA Style show will be moved up one week to May 1 and the MS/HS Spring Concert will be moved up to May 8.
• Don Donley talked about the technology courses that he teaches. There are 48 students involved in technology. He noted there are two teams in the Robotics competition, up from the one team last year. The state competition is March 8th and he said that no matter what happens at state, Groton's teams will not be going any further because it's the same time as prom.
• Lindsey Tietz talked about the FACS classes this year and she noted that the numbers are up this year compared to last year. FACS III has come back and there are eight students enrolled. She thanked the board for providing up-to-date equipment and tools for her program. She said that not all school districts have current equipment.
• Adam Franken talked about the ag department. Classes are broken down into semester classes as follows: Horticulture/Greenhouse Technology, Ag Marketing and Sales/Agribusiness Entrepreneurship, Plant Science/Animal Science, Wildlife and Fisheries/Ag Processing, and Introduction to Agriculture is a year-round class. There are 85 to 90 students enrolled in agriculture classes.
• Soccer next year will be divided into two classes as more teams are getting involved in the sport. There will be a shot clock in basketball starting next year.
