Nebraska-Omaha defeats South Dakota 77-73

• OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- CJ Carter scored 18 points with five assists as Nebraska-Omaha defeated South Dakota 77-73 Saturday.
• Justin Simmons had 16 points and three rebounds for the Mavericks (12-8, 2-3 Summit). Marcus Tyus came off the bench to score 12 points and Mike Rostampour added 10 points and led the team with nine rebounds.
• South Dakota's Tyler Larson opened the contest with a 3-pointer and two buckets from the paint in the first five minutes to give the Coyotes an early 8-4 advantage. They led 32-27 at the break.
• But Omaha battled back in the second with a Tyus 3-pointer at 12:39 capping a 22-13 run to take the lead, 49-45. South Dakota came back to lead by six at 7:11 and the Mavericks responded with a 23-13 run to finish.
• Trevor Gruis led the scoring for the Coyotes (8-11, 3-2) with 16 points. Brandon Bos added 14 points and five rebounds.

Black Hills Power closing 4 service centers in SD

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Black Hills Power is closing customer service centers in Belle Fourche, Newell, Deadwood and Hot Springs.
• Officials say the decision is based on customers' ability to pay bills online or over the telephone, and a 45 percent drop in walk-in traffic over the past five years. Customers also can continue to pay bills by mail.
• The closures take effect Feb. 3. Customers in Spearfish, Sturgis, Rapid City, Custer, and in Newcastle, Wyo., still will have the walk-in option.

Much of Dakotas could get another blizzard

• BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- People across much of the Dakotas were bracing Saturday for what's expected to be the latest blizzard in a recent wave of heavy storms to hit the region.
• The National Weather Service issued blizzard and high wind watches and warnings for various parts of the Dakotas for Saturday night into Sunday.
