• Groton Area, Roncalli and Clark-Willow Lake are now all 3-1.
• "That was a big game for us," said Coach Shaun Wanner. "The last two years, we lost to these girls by 20 points."
• Groton came out strong and jumped out to a 16-11 first quarter lead with the help of two three-pointers by Courtney Kurtz. Audrey Wanner came off the bench in the second quarter to power in a three-pointer and the Lady Tigers took a 30-16 lead at half time.
• The Lady Tigers started to struggle in the second half as the shots were not falling. Wanner made the only field goal in the third quarter and she was fouled and added a free throw. Carly Wheeting made two free throws and that was Groton's scoring in the third quarter as it was a 35-24 game going into the fourth quarter.
