Winter Weather for the Deep South into Friday

• While the cold air gets reinforced across the central and eastern U.S. from a series of clippers, low pressure along a cold front further south will bring snow to portions of the ArkLaTex, and ice down to the upper Texas coast. Hard Freeze Warnings are also in effect from Louisiana to Florida.
Today: Breezy. Not as cold. Partly sunny in the morning...then cloudy with a chance of light rain...possibly mixed with sleet in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s. West winds 15 to 25 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.
