Woman accused of embezzling from Watertown school

• WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) -- A Watertown woman is accused of embezzling more than $100,000 from the local school district.
• Authorities allege that 42-year-old Denise Trively took the money between June 2012 and October 2013 while she was benefits coordinator for the district. She's been suspended since last November.
• Trively could face up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine if convicted of felony grand theft embezzlement. A telephone listing for her could not be found.

Report: SIU, Lennon agree to contract extension

• CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) -- Southern Illinois University's athletics director says the school and head football coach have agreed to a two-year contract extension.
• Mario Moccia (MOH'-chuh) tells the (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan (http://bit.ly/KAVULx ) the Salukis reached the deal with 53-year-old Dale Lennon as the coach enters the final year of his contract.
• The Salukis finished 7-5 last season in a four-way tie for second place in the Missouri Valley Conference.
• Lennon signed a five-year contract in 2008 and got a one-year extension through next season. Moccia says Lennon will make the same amount -- a base salary of $200,000 -- in the latest extension.
• SIU has missed the playoffs for four straight seasons.
• Lennon is 42-28 at Carbondale. His 35 wins in his first three seasons there are the most in school history.
