Holly Hoffman speaks in Sioux Falls

I was pretty excited about attending the JUTS school in Sioux Falls, especially when I heard that Holly Hoffman was one of the featured speakers. As you may or may not know, Holly is Shawn Wanner's sister.
• When I arrived in the classroom, she was about to exit to get ready for her presentation when I stopped her and introduced myself. She certainly has a bubbly personality. Later I caught her in a room getting her presentation ready (top left photo). I posted the photo on our GDI Facebook page. She told me later that right before she was ready to go on stage, she had gotten a text from someone stating that they had seen her picture on the Groton website. Word gets around fast!
• She talked about leadership and talked about Brad from Watertown who had given her 72 Snickers bars. She has a fondness of Snickers and peanut butter. She just recently started the leadership part of her presentation and she now hands out a Snickers Bar--referring it to as "Sharing Brad's Kindness." Since I had approached her when she was here, I was awarded a Snicker's bar, as is shown in the bottom photo.
• Her experience on Survivor makes us think about how we take everything for granted. After the presentation, I, along with Doug Enstad (formerly from Pierpont--what a small world) - he works for JUTS), were talking about her presentation. Doug mentioned that in her list, she had faith towards the bottom. Holly said the list was just put in a random order. Doug suggested that faith be moved to the top of the list. She thought about that for a moment and agreed. There were only three members of the Survivor cast that

openly expressed their faith and went out to have time for prayer.
• The whole battle rages in the mind. Even if you feel you are all alone, you are not, as long as you keep God in your mind.
