Moderate to Heavy Snow Is Expected Tuesday from the Mid-Atlantic to the Northeast with Below Average Temperatures Across the Eastern U.S.

• As a cold front moves off the Atlantic Coast, a storm system over the Tennessee Valley will move towards the North Carolina coast and deepen as it goes. As it continues up the Eastern Seaboard, moisture from the Atlantic will result in moderate to heavy snow from the central Appalachians to New England. In addition, temperatures across the eastern U.S. will be 10 to 25 degrees below average.
