Prevailing Weather Pattern Will Continue with Trough in the East and Ridge in the West

• A persistent weather pattern will continue to bring cold air and periods of light snow to the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes and Northeast. Unusually dry and warm conditions will continue across the Western U.S., aggravating and worsening drought conditions especially in southern California. Santa Ana winds there will continue and likely intensify early next week keeping the wildfire threat high.
