Sharon Simon, a Doctor of Nursing Practitioner (DNP), is joining Avera Medical Group Groton. As a DNP, Sharon can see patients of all ages for annual physical exams, well person checks, acute conditions such as cold and flu symptoms, and managing chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes. She is trained to perform minor procedures such as mole and wart removal, laceration repair and fracture care. 

Sharon has been with Avera Medical Group since January 2012 providing coverage for both Kessler's and Shopko FastCare clinics, and Avera Medical Group outreach clinics in Groton, Ipswich and Selby.

"Sharon brings with her a strong passion for rural medicine and she will be a great addition to the clinic as AMG remains committed to providing quality health care to the Groton area," said Mike Opp, Director of Primary Care Clinics for Avera Medical Group.
