Rapid City police chase ends in crash, injuries

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Rapid City police say a car being pursued by officers crashed into a light pole and caught fire, sending the three people inside to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
• Authorities say the car sped off Wednesday night when an officer tried to make a traffic stop for an equipment violation, and eventually crashed. Police say someone tossed a gun from the vehicle during the chase, and officers later found other weapons including a sawed-off shotgun in the car, along with methamphetamine.
• The 19-year-old driver was arrested on several charges, and charges against the two passengers are pending.

SD inmate missing for 6 months back in custody

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A South Dakota prison inmate who went missing for six months is back in custody.
• Thirty-nine-year-old Cleveland Roubideaux left a minimum-security prison in Rapid City on work release June 25, 2013, but didn't show up at his job. He wasn't apprehended until Dec. 24, following a car crash near Martin.
• Roubideaux is serving a 10-year sentence for drunken driving convictions in Pennington County.

Targeted town won't raze white supremacist's house

• BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- A small North Dakota town targeted for takeover by a white supremacist who is jailed on terrorizing charges has backed away from plans to condemn and raze the man's unoccupied home.
• Craig Cobb, 62, and fellow white supremacist Kynan Dutton have been jailed since mid-November, accused of terrorizing their neighbors in Leith with guns --
