Groton's cage teams go 4-0 at Deuel

• Groton's basketball teams on all levels continue to experience success as the Tigers won all four games at Deuel on Saturday.
• The girls are now 6-1 as the Lady Tigers posted a 53-26 win over the Cardinals. Groton led at the quarterstops at 15-9, 21-18 and 39-22. Camille Sippel led the Tigers with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal. Carly Wheeting had 16 points, eight rebounds, two steals and one assist. Kylie Hawkins added seven points and had one rebound and one assist. Courtney Kurtz had five points, two rebounds, two steals and five assists. Halle Dohman had four points, one rebound, one steal and one assist. Natalia Dohman added two points and had three rebounds. Audrey Wanner and Rachel Blackmun each had one point.
• Groton made 43 percent of its field goals, made 47 percent of its free throws, making nine of 19 off of Deuel's 20 team fouls, had 29 rebounds, six steals, 12 assists and had seven turnovers.
• Deuel made 20 percent of its field goals, was six of 17 from the line, had 19 rebounds, 16 turnovers, four steals and five assists.
• The junior varsity girls upped its season record to 5-1 with a 30-14 win. Natalia Dohman led Groton with nine points followed by Ashley Gibbs with seven, Audrey Wanner and Katie Koehler each had five points and Marlee Jones and Maryn Howard each had two points.
• Three players hit double figures as the boys team remain undefeated with a 77-22 win over the Cardinals.
• Groton led at the quarterstops at 19-3, 44-8 and 63-12.
• Reilly Ell led the Tigers with 15 points followed by Mason Madsen with 13, Kasey Kurtz had 12, Wyatt Larson and Kyler Ell each had nine, Chance Strom eight, Parker Rossow six, Spencer Knecht three and Wyatt Lone two.
• Groton missed only two free throws in 11 attempts. Madsen led the Tigers on the

boards with eight of 30 team rebounds. Groton had 10 turnovers.
• Groton won the junior varsity game with a 55-37 win. Sean Schuring and Seric Shabazz shared the leaders with 11 points each while Wyatt Larson had nine, Spencer Knecht and Chance Strom each had six, Kyler Ell and Bennett Shabazz each had four and Adam Herman and Turner Webb each had two points.
