ing resources in numerous websites, students had to write about what they discovered as they witnessed Indians of the Incan, Mayan and Aztec societies. We certainly have kids with creative imaginations!! Next quarter we will be looking into American Independence as well as the French Revolution and World War I.

• World Geography - Mr. Thorson
• Again it seems like the semester went by way too fast as we are now completing Geography for my first group of sophomores. In January I will be getting a new batch of students since the course runs only one semester long. Wish it was longer. Since we have little time we do study cultural differences in both the Americas and Western Europe. However I do think it is important to learn about physical regions of the world. When this subject ends at the end of the week, all my students will become familiar with where each country is located on the globe. I hope for my students that when they hear about a place in the news they will be able to recognize where in the world this region is located. All good lessons. The last thing we will be learning is the Civil Rights Acts of the 1960's. It was a very important time in our countries history as minorities try to achieve equal rights status in American society. How Martin Luther King Jr. became one of the greatest Americans in his quest to make a difference in the African American community.

• Seventh Grade English - Mrs. Kurtz
• Christmas time is here, and everyone is excited for the end of the semester.  The seventh graders have covered subjects, predicates, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions and interjections.  We ended the semester with demonstrative speeches. There were many interesting and unique topics,
