A band of light snowfall is expected across the region today. The greatest snowfall accumulations will range from 1 to 3 inches. North to northeast winds will generally remain less than 15 mph however, so blowing snow is not expected to be a major issue. The main hazard will be snow covered or slick spots on roadways. Temperatures will remain cold through Thursday, with wind chill values dropping to the 20 to 30 below zero range at times.
