A Winter Weather Advisory has now been issued for the entire area. A compact weather system will bring a wintry mix of precipitation to portions of central and western South Dakota this morning - denoted in purple and orange in the graphic. As the precipitation moves east this afternoon, it should transition to all snow. Two to four inches of snow are possible across eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota.
