Bitter cold wind chills across the region will continue through Tuesday morning. Additionally, warm air ahead of an approaching clipper system will override the arctic air at the surface. This will set the stage for periods of light freezing rain and sleet to develop late tonight and continue through Tuesday afternoon across the Missouri River valley. Some of the cities within the Winter Weather Advisory include Pierre/Ft. Pierre, Murdo, Kennebec, Miller, Gettysburg and Mobridge. Persons planning any travel today through Tuesday are urged to stay abreast of the latest forecasts and road reports.
