High pressure settling over the region will bring very cold air into the northern plains. Additionally...north to northwest winds from 10 to 20 mph will accompany the high. These strong winds coupled with the cold air will result in bitterly cold wind chills across the region through Monday night. Wind chill values in the 20s and 30s below zero can be expected. With wind chill values that cold...frostbite can occur on exposed skin in only a matter of minutes. If venturing outside today through Monday, be sure to take the necessary precautions.
