• Four players hit double figures Friday night as the Groton Area boys defeated Ipswich, 72-44.
• Ipswich tried to keep pace with Groton and did so, trailing by just two points after the first quarter, 18-16.
• Then Groton took charge and outscored Ipswich in the second quarter, 18-7, and in the third quarter, 24-8. The game slowed down in the fourth quarter as Ipswich outscored Groton, 13-12.
