• LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Bareback rider Kaycee Feild won for the second consecutive round in the National Finals Rodeo, scoring 83.5 points on Cool Water on Thursday night.
• Feild, from Payson, Utah, remained atop the season standings with $186,881.
• Seeking a third consecutive season title, Feild also leads the aggregate standings with 663 points for eight rides. He's trying to become the first rider to win three consecutive aggregate titles since Jack Ward Jr. in 1974-76. Feild has earned an event-best $66,506 in the first eight rounds.
• Bobby Mote of Culver, Ore., fourth with a 78.5 on Full Baggage, is second in the standings at $161,794. Mote is 10th in the aggregate standings with 561.5 points for seven rides.
• "I got fired up tonight seeing Bobby had Full Baggage (the 2013 PRCA Bareback Horse of the Year)," Feild said. "Steven Peebles (second in 82.5 in the eighth round and second in the aggregate standings with 653.5 points for eight rides) is riding outstanding, so I knew it would take a good ride to win.
• "I had that horse (Cool Water) here in 2008 and was lucky to make it to the whistle. He did a front flip right at the whistle. That's a good horse to be on."
• In bull riding, three-time season champion J.W. Harris of Mullin, Texas, remained in first in the standings with $197,390 despite getting bucked off Gangbuster. Harris leads all bull riders with $67,007 in NFR earnings and dropped to second in the aggregate standings with 431 points for five rides.
• Cody Teel of Kountze, Texas, won with a 78.5 on Pale Face and took over the aggregate standings lead with 497.5 points for six rides. Teel is second in the standings with $160,371.
• Teel was just one of three riders who had successful rides. Josh Koschel of Nunn, Colo., was second with a 70 on Wicked, and Parker Breding of Edgar, Mont., had a 68 on Hokie Pokie.
• In saddle bronc riding, Jake Wright of Milford, Utah, won his second consecutive round and fourth overall with an 85.5 on Sundance. He remained first in the standings with $175,535 and in the event earnings with $87,440. He's third in the aggregate standings with 577 points for seven rides.
• Wright's brother and previous standings leader, two-time season champion Cody Wright, didn't place among the top six with a 71 on Tuca's War Song. He's third with
