Cold air has returned to the region with most areas seeing highs in the single digits and teens today. Bitterly cold wind chills from 25 below to 35 below zero will be felt this morning over northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota. Warmer air over southwest South Dakota today will eventually spread east across the rest of the region this evening, thanks to the passage of a warm front. This front will bring warmer temps on Thursday, with highs in the 20s and 30s for most locations.
