Dangerously cold wind chills will be in place through the morning hours, but SW winds will transport relatively warmer air into the area this afternoon. Strong wind gusts are possible east of the Sisseton Hills. A clipper system will drop across the region later this afternoon and tonight. Snowfall is expected across northern SD and west central MN, but only a few tenths of an inch of accumulation. Northwest winds will increase rapidly across the whole region tonight. This may result in areas of blowing snow and brief periods of reduced visibility.
