Groton Holiday Tour of Homes December 8

Give yourself a refreshing and revitalizing break from hectic holiday preparations to enjoy the sights, sounds and wonders of Christmas with Groton's Holiday Tour of Homes on Sunday, December 8. This year's Tour will feature the beautiful homes of Lisa Adler, Glenn & Wendy Cooper, Suzy Oliver, Tom and Barb Paepke and Karla Pasteur, all of Groton. This line-up of homes includes an interesting range of home styles and promises a fun variety of decorating styles and creative holiday touches to entertain and inspire you.

The home of the late Phillip and Lisa Adler is located at 403 N. Washington Street in the Hayes addition in Groton. This home was located on the property in 1995, with an addition built by Phillip, Lisa and many of their family and friends in 2000. The addition features a great room with a built-in bar for entertaining. Interesting family heirlooms and beautiful antiques await you at every turn. In the past couple of years, the family has been converting the attached garage into a family fun room with a built-in fireplace as a focal point.

Glenn & Wendy Cooper's home at 208 N. 2nd Street has been completely remodeled. It is handicap accessible, including a chair lift for the steps leading upstairs. The main floor has a three-sided fireplace in the living room-kitchen area. The upstairs displays Glenn's extensive Notre Dame sports collection, with many items signed by players and coaches. There is also a display of miniature Corvettes. A village scene features pieces Wendy has collected and painted over the years. The Cooper home is decorated for Christmas with "Baking for Jesus' Birthday."  Musically themed "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" touches throughout the house also await tour-goers.
