Uncertainty still remains in the progression of the winter storm system today. Several periods of snowfall are expected, with potentially heavy snowfall across northern South Dakota and west central Minnesota (mainly north of US Highway 212). Another band of snow is expected to set up south of US Highway 212 later in the afternoon and overnight, but lesser snow amounts are anticipated. Increasing northerly winds will combine with snowfall and may result in reduced visibilities and potentially hazardous travel. Winds will remain gusty through Wednesday.
