Quiet Weather for Most of the Nation this Weekend; Exception is Northwest U.S.

• A fairly quiet and tranquil weather pattern will prevail across much of the country into the weekend. Unseasonably cold air is in place across the East, but a gradual warming trend will take hold and last through the weekend. Meanwhile, a strong storm system will begin to impact the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies late Saturday bringing wind, heavy rain and mountain snow to the region.

Tonight: Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows 15 to 20. North winds up to 5 mph shifting to the east after midnight.
