Quiet Weather Will Persist Across Much of U.S. Into Weekend

• A fairly quiet and tranquil weather pattern will prevail across much of the country on Friday and into the holiday weekend. Light rain and snow showers are forecast for parts of the Pacific Northwest, northern Cascades and Rockies. Meanwhile, temperatures will be 10-15 degrees below normal across the East Coast and Ohio Valley and as much as 10 degrees above normal across parts of the western U.S.
