Ag marketing expert to visit 6 South Dakota cities

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- An agriculture marketing specialist from Iowa State University will speak in six South Dakota cities to offer insight into the low corn prices.
• Steve Johnson will be the featured speaker at GrowingOn 2014 sponsored by the South Dakota Corn Growers Association, Farm Credit Services of America and Risk Management Agency.
• Johnson's presentation will cover the potential impacts of large U.S. and global crop supplies, uncertain economies and the new farm program.
• The seminars are Dec. 3 in Aberdeen and Watertown, Dec. 4 in Huron, Dec. 5 in Yankton and Mitchell, and Dec. 10 in Sioux Falls.
• Farm Credit Services of America specialists will also be on hand to discuss crop insurance options and how to minimize risk.

Southeast Louisiana defeats Western Illinois 62-52

• HAMMOND, La. (AP) -- Antonnio Benton scored a team-high 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Southeast Louisiana in a 62-52 defeat of Western Illinois on Tuesday night.
• JaMichael Hawkins had 15 points including three 3-pointers and Devonte Upson chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds for the Lions (3-2).
• Southeast Louisiana jumped to a 10-point lead midway through the first period and a 25-23 lead at the break. Western Illinois tied the score and briefly took over the lead early in the second but could not maintain it following a Benton steal and subsequent dunk. A pair of 3-pointers by Hawkins and Joshua Filmore widened the Lions' lead.
• Garret Covington led the Leathernecks (1-4) with a game-high 22 points, 8 rebounds and one assist. Western Illinois hit 40 percent each from the field and the line and sank just 26.7 percent of its 3-pointers.

Dykstra leads South Dakota State past Lehigh 74-61

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- Jordan Dykstra scored a career-high 32 points and finished with 13 rebounds to lead South Dakota State in a 74-61 victory over Lehigh on Tuesday night.
• Dykstra shot 8 of 14 from the field and made 12 of the Jackrabbits' 16 free
