The Groton Garden club met at the home of Janice Fliehs with Eunice McCollister assisting. The meeting was opened by president, Bev. Sombke, with the pledges. Twelve members and one guest, Deb Olson, answered roll call with what we are thankful for. Janice Fliehs and Eunice McCollister meet with grades 1-5 on Friday to explain the Smokey Bear-Woodsey Owl poster contest. Plans for the Christmas party were finalized. It will be a planned potluck at the home of Linda Gengerke, December 14, at 6:00p.m. Linda Anderson will assist. Groton will be hosting the SDFGC Convention, June 27-28, 2014. Some preliminary plans were discussed. Following the meeting Eunice McCollister gave the program on bird seed ornaments to give as Christmas gifts.
