Much Colder Air In Store for Plains, Heavy Rain, Snow & Mixed Precip. Forecast for Parts of Western U.S.

• A strong cold front moving across the Plains is bringing temperatures as much as 10-30 degrees below normal across much of the central and northern Plains, as well as areas of heavy snow across parts of the Rockies and central Plains. Meanwhile, mixed precipitation is forecast for parts of the southern Plains into the Southwest, with heavy rain possible across the Desert Southwest.
