Shortwave energy will move across the Dakotas today and bring scattered rain and snow showers to the area. Northwest winds will also increase today and become quite gusty across western and central South Dakota. A wind advisory has been posted for western South Dakota. Over central South Dakota, expect speeds from 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 40 mph. A warming trend will return for Monday and especially Tuesday, with highs well above normal.
