• Heavy snow will continue in the Cascades and Northern Rockies into the weekend. Strong winds will occur over the Southwest and Inter-Mountain West. A severe thunderstorm threat is forecast Saturday for the Mid-Mississippi Valley, with an increasing threat for severe weather on Sunday from the Lower Mississippi to the Great Lakes.
