followed with a kill to make it 23-20. Groton then called time out. Josie Doeden had a kill and Groton led, 24-20. The Redmen then followed with a pair of kills and Groton lost control of the ball and it was quickly a 24-23 Groton lead. Groton called time out.
• Groton lost control of the ball after the time out and the game was tied at 24. The Redmen had a tip-over to take a 25-24 lead and Groton had a miscue on a return as Sisseton battled back to win the second game, 26-24.
• Getting his team ready for the third game was a tough task. Helvig said, "We had to come up with a couple of things they can focus on mentally and defensively. That previous game stung and I told the girls to keep their heads up. We weren't too successful at that. We got down by 11 and then we started to get more aggressive at the net and the serving line."
