• Groton Area dropped three games in the region championship game as Sisseton will advance to the state tournament next weekend in Aberdeen.

• Sisseton jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first game and upped it to 9-2. The Redmen held a five-point lead at 14-9 before Groton started to rally. The Tigers closed to within one, 14-13, and again at 15-14, but the Redmen continued to hold the upper hand and went on to win, 25-18.
• Groton quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second game and held a two to five point lead for most of the game. The game started to get intense towards the end.
