• Groton Area Schools held its annual Veteran's Day events with a breakfast for about 40 Veterans at the elementary school and the program was well attended in the afternoon in the Arena.
• The afternoon event had many parts with the event lasting an hour and 22 minutes.
• Middle school students interviewed a Veteran and then read their interview, along with a slide show. Aaron Delzer was the guest speaker. The elementary students sang several songs, the high school and middle school band both performed and the All State Chorus members sang the "Star Spangled Banner." Robert Wegner and Jake McKiver presented the colors at the beginning and retired them at the end with Matt Knecht playing "Taps."
