After an executive session, the council decided to grant a bonus of $200 to Ed Nehls, a bonus of $500 to Terry Herron and a bonus of $500 to Anita Lowary. 

If you regularly cross the railroad tracks on the south edge of Groton, be ready for either a detour or for a wait. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad crew will be installing a new concrete crossing in both the main track and siding starting today. The work is expected to be completed by late Friday.
