• Groton jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the third game and a Doeden kill gave Groton an 8-3 lead when Webster called time out. The Lady Tigers increased its lead to 11-4 and upped it to 17-8. Webster scored six straight points to close to within three, 17-14. Sippel broke the cold spell with a kill, but Webster continued its rally and took a 19-18 lead. Groton called time out.
• "We had talked that we can't get down on each other," Helvig said. "We have to play hard and keep our heads up. The girls actually brought this up during the time out. You're suppose to be there to pick up your teammates and how we have to support each other when things aren't going well. It's easy to see the negative side and it's a lot harder to pick your partner up, to pick your team up and get going and
