The Groton Community Foundation has donated $3,000, Clark Engineering has donated $2,500, the Groton Kiwanis Club has donated $2,000, Emmanuel Lutheran Church's Walk-A-Thon donated $1,200, the United Methodist Church fundraiser from the Band Festival raised $400, other donations have amounted to $3,000 and the Groton Dairy Queen is planning a fundraising day with the help of volunteer workers during the event.
• City employees and volunteers will help to erect the equipment and it will have a wood grain bedding under the playground equipment.
