Some of the more significant storm total snowfall reports were 25.2 inches at Lead, 15 inches at Eureka, 14 inches near Summit, 13 inches near Victor, 12.6 inches at Roscoe, and 12 inches in Leola and 23 mile north of Highmore. • 1927: A decaying tropical cyclone dumped more than 15 inches of rain on the Green Mountains of Vermont. The flooding killed 200 people, including the Lieutenant Governor. • 1959: A small F0 tornado caused minor damage near Cape St. Elias Light Station on Kayak Island, AK. There were no injuries. • 1973: An F3 tornado struck Brisbane, Australia, destroying nearly two thousand homes.
