Severe Weather Possible on Thursday from Great Lakes to Gulf Coast

The NWS Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a risk of severe thunderstorms Thur. afternoon and evening for a large area from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast. Occasional damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat, though a few tornadoes are possible, as well. Meanwhile, heavy rain will lead to a possibility of flash flooding across parts of the Gulf Coast and Tenn. & lower Miss. Valleys.
