• My pheasant hunter took the weekend off from hunting so I took full advantage of his skills in the kitchen.  Together we created rice krispy bars that look like big pieces of candy corn.  It was quite a process but we did accomplish what we set out to do.  He did have a little spillage issue when the time came to mix the melted marshmallows into the 13 1/2 cups of rice krispies and I found out that the actual melted marshmallows are extremely sticky even before they are dumped on the cereal.  I dropped the yellow food coloring in the pot and if Don had not been watching I might have just left it there but he saw it happen so I felt obligated to remove it.  I sort of like doing the unexpected when I know it won't hurt anyone.  Think of the stories that would have transpired when the recipient found the surprise hidden inside their bar!  Yes, it's safe to send your kids to my house to trick or treat.  The pop rocks are in sealed packages.  These bars were made for the ladies coming to my Norwex Party.
