• Kasey Kurtz had 21 carries for 185 yards and three touchdowns, but 95 of those yards came on one play in the second quarter. "They (Sisseton) had us pinned back to the one inch line and almost had a safety," Wanner said. Sisseton then had a five yard penalty to move the ball to the five yard line. "Kasey found the opening and ran all the way to the endzone," Wanner said. "That was a big run--a big game changer."  Groton took a 13-6 lead on that play. According to Tom Woods, Groton's statistician, "I don't think I ever remember writing down a 95 yard touchdown run." Woods has been involved in Tiger football since 1987.
• Kurtz scored all three touchdowns in the third quarter on runs of two, 95 and one yard. Two PAT attempts were no good with Jacob Milbrandt kicking one PAT. The three scores came after Sisseton hit paydirt first in the first quarter when Ethan
