Groton beats Sisseton; advances to playoffs

• Sisseton scored first, but Groton Area took over after that to coast to a 31-14 win over Sisseton. It was the final regular season game before the playoffs and the game was played in Sisseton.
• Groton will travel to Roncalli and Sisseton will travel to Dell Rapids for the first round of the playoffs on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
• "Now we start the second season," said Coach Shaun Wanner. "Mobridge got more power points than we did so we ended up playing the top seed. We're better today than we were the first time we played Roncalli. We host Wyatt Lone, had to move Jackson to tight end and move field lineman around. Since the second game, we have had the same starters with no injuries."
• Groton's running backs each had their half. Kasey Kurtz ran the ball most of the time in the first half and Jackson Doeden ran it most of the time in the second half. "It'll give Roncalli something to think about," Wanner said. "We know what they're going to do. They do have the best skilled positions in the state--they can run the ball, catch the ball and pass the ball. But when it comes to the post season, every
