The first light, but accumulating snowfall is possible tonight across the eastern half of South Dakota. A trace to a half inch of accumulation is expected across the highlighted area. This will likely be a narrow band of snowfall and these are sometimes hard to predict with regard to where exactly the band will develop. Again, this will be very light and minimal impacts are expected. We will certainly adjust the forecast if our thinking changes through the day today.
