Grams works with compliance at NCAA

• The Southland Conference has named Adam Grams as assistant commissioner for compliance services, commissioner Tom Burnett has announced. Grams joins the Conference office staff after serving as compliance coordinator at the University of Nevada, Reno since January 2012.
• Grams will manage day-to-day compliance issues, including interpretations of conference and NCAA legislation for member institutions. He will also serve as a liaison with the NCAA national office and institutional compliance personnel, and oversee the conference's National Letter of Intent program and the NCAA coaches' certification process.
•  "We are very pleased to announce that Adam is joining the Southland staff," Burnett said. "He has great on-campus compliance experience and a legal background that will serve the league and our member institutions very well."
• Prior to his position at Nevada, he spent a year as an enforcement intern at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis, Ind., from 2010-11. Grams also served
