Claremont Recorder
By Beverly Patterson

•  It appears there is still a bit of confusion as to the guy named Don I spend so much time with. He is not my brother-in-law.  He is from Bismarck ND.  He grew up in Fargo ND.  He spent a number of years in the Air Force and is now employed as a Field Service Technician for Great Plains Technical Services in Mandan.  He and I met about a year ago and have found that we have a pretty amazing connection. When I reference Don I am not referring to my brother-in-law, Don Wegleitner.  That Don has been happily married to my sister for the last 34 years and I am quite sure they plan on celebrating many more anniversaries together.  Becky and I have found some of the confusion a bit humorous but we would never want to intentionally confuse anyone.  It is a bit weird that I would begin dating a guy with the same first name as her husband but these things happen.  What's really weird though is that both of our Dons have been in the Air Force, they like to hunt and fish, they both have facial hair, they both like to drink beer, they love cashews and they both have really good taste in women!!!  Just had to throw that in!  Haha!
•  Last Sunday, October 6th, Amelia Slaight was honored with a party for her 85th birthday in Britton.  There were 24 friends and relatives there to help her celebrate including her sister Ann Bailey of Claremont as well as her niece and husband, Bonita and Dick Edwards of Hecla.
•  On Saturday, October 12th, Marie Patterson and Becky Wegleitner made their way to Fargo ND to attend the Lance Hagenson and Brittany Nedrebo wedding.  They had a wonderful time at this beautiful celebration.  Marie had an opportunity to do some catching up with her brother, Jerome Ness of Britton, her sisters, Dorothy Labeske of Albert Lea MN and Joyce Hagenson of Fargo ND.  Lance is the son of Joyce Hagenson, formerly of Claremont.  He is a trucker based out of Fargo and he surprised Brittany by leading her outside for their spotlight dance.  He had shined up his semi as well as two others belonging to his boss and another friend and the headlights acted as the spotlights for their first dance.  Lance is my cousin and if you haven't had the pleasure of meeting him you are definitely missing out. He is one awesome guy and he just married his perfect match. Together they have a beautiful little girl.  Her name is Addison and she is the center of their universe! Congratulations Lance and Brittany!  May your lives be filled with many happy blessings as each year comes and goes!
• Yvonne Gibbs has spent the past two weekends enjoying visits with her children.  Last weekend the Bailey's were there and this weekend her son Brett came to stay.
• Ann Bailey enjoyed a visit on Saturday evening, October 12th with Bonita and
