The Life of Jerry Ganje

• Memorial service for Gerald "Jerry" W. Ganje, 53, of Groton will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1708 8th Ave. NE, Aberdeen.
• Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Union Cemetery at Groton.
• Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the fu

neral home.
• Jerry died October 12, 2013 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor.
• Gerald "Jerry" W. Ganje, son of William and Norma (Ragatz) Ganje was born October 3, 1960 at Redfield, SD. When he was in the ninth grade his family moved to Groton. He graduated from Groton High School with the class of 1979. Jerry then attended Northern State College for one year and later Lake Area Vo-Tech in Watertown. He began painting houses with his father for a number of years. Jerry had worked various jobs in the Aberdeen and Groton area. His favorite job was working at Ken's Fairway in Groton.
• Jerry enjoyed fishing and camping and would go to where the fish were biting. Gardening was a favorite pastime and doing crossword puzzles in the Aberdeen American News.
• Jerry is survived by his mother, Norma of Aberdeen; two sisters, Jean Ganje of Aberdeen and Janet (Pete) Hoscheid of Groton and one brother, John (Linda) Ganje of Aberdeen.
• He was preceded in death by his father and one infant brother, Timothy.
• Honorary Urnbearers will be Jerry's friends.
