The Lake Region Marching Band Festival was held in Groton on Friday, Oct. 11, with 18 bands and the Northern State University Marching Band performing. Despite the forecast for rainy weather, it turned out to be a perfect day for the festival with temperatures in the 60s and a southeast wind at 10-15 mph. There were 11 bands originally signed up for the festival; however, with all but two bands canceling out of the Gypsy Day Parade due to the weather, another seven bands came to the Groton Festival.  Pictured here is the GHS Marching Band.
