the whole game with the exception of the game being tied at 15. Groton Area had trailed, 17-18, then went on a cold spell while the Bearcats rallied to score the final seven points of the game.
• Josie Doeden had the game winning block in the third game as Groton won, 25-23. "We had some excellent net play," Helvig said. "I think that was the best we've played at the net and blocking all season. Our defense worked on them and we had different blocking schemes and different floor plans." The game was tied eight times and the lead changed hands three times before Groton took over for good. Groton's biggest lead was of five points, 20-15.
