• Congratulations to the Groton Area High School boys and girls soccer teams on winning your playoff games and advancing on to the state tournament in Aberdeen.  Good Luck!
• As the season winds down we would like to say thank you to all of those who helped to make the season a success.  The Groton Area School for allowing us become a sanctioned high school sport.  To all of the parents that have helped take gate, donate food & work concessions,  haul kids back and forth to games, and be there to cheer them on.  A huge thank you to all who have sponsored signs again this year.  We fundraise every dollar that it takes to cover the expense of these teams,  and can't thank you enough for helping with that fundraising effort.  Last but not least, the coaches, that have  devoted so much time and energy to helping these teams grow.
• The boys team is made up of some very seasoned players as well as a number of players that have played very little, or had not played at all.  At the beginning of the season, thoughts of making it to state seemed rather unlikely.   To say we are proud of this team would be an understatement.  They've come together and should be very proud of how much they have improved.
• Every boy on the team has contributed to the success in getting to state.  It takes a lot of touches on the ball for a goal to be scored and a lot of touches to keep it out of their goal.  Soccer is not a one man show or even an eleven man show.  It has taken the hard work and dedication from each of you to get you where you are today.  Go out and win this as a team, we know you can!
